Meet Victor Benavides
Owner of Vito's Shop
Victor Benavides is the proud owner of Vito’s Shop and has been part of the Cache Valley community for nearly 30 years. With decades of hands-on experience in auto body repair, vehicle restoration, and specialty welding, Victor has built a reputation for craftsmanship, precision, and honest work throughout Northern Utah.
For more than half of his life, Victor has dedicated himself to the automotive industry, working on everything from collision repair and insurance claims to high-end classic vehicle restorations. His experience includes working with local dealerships, private collectors, individual vehicle owners, and insurance-related repairs across Cache Valley and surrounding areas.
Victor is highly skilled in multiple professional welding processes used in the automotive and fabrication industries, including:
- MIG welding (Gas Metal Arc Welding)
- TIG welding (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding)
- Arc welding / Stick welding (Shielded Metal Arc Welding)
- Oxy-acetylene welding and cutting
- Aluminum welding
- Bronze welding and brazing
His ability to work with aluminum, steel, bronze, and specialty metals makes him one of the few craftsmen in the area capable of handling highly customized and complex body shop and fabrication projects.
Over the years, Victor’s work has appeared throughout Cache Valley at some of the region’s most respected dealerships and restoration projects. His specialty in classic car restoration has helped bring vintage vehicles back to life, many of which have later been sold at private sales and collector auctions. He has also completed custom paint, structural repair, and specialty fabrication work for larger vehicles and commercial projects.
Beyond his technical skills, Victor is known for his dedication to family, community, and long-term relationships with customers. His children grew up in Cache Valley and continue to live in the area, reinforcing the strong roots his family has built in the community.
Today, Vito’s Shop continues to serve Cache Valley with the same commitment to quality workmanship, integrity, and attention to detail that Victor has delivered for decades.
